A Lovely Blessings Award!

My dear friend Renie at Renie Burghardt's World has given me this lovely Blessings Award. We have been friends for about nine years! We first met while at Suite101 when I wrote about New Hamsphire and she wrote Nature Sketches. After the first article I read, I was hooked. Just as with Renie's writing here, her articles back then were filled with wonderful stories and observations about nature and the world around us as well as inspirational and uplifting stories from her own life. It was impossible to not be friends with this wonderful lady! Renie is one of the blessings in my life. I'm lucky to have so many blessings - among them my family, a safe home, the birds during the day and the stars in the heavens at night.

Now it is my pleasure to pass this lovely award on to three wonderful people.

First to another dear old friend I met at Suite101, Mary at Mary's Writing Nook. Her friendship is a blessing in my life. At Suite 101, I learned about Canada in all its beauty and rich history and quickly became fast friends with the author, Mary. She is the most giving person I know and she uses her curiosity and life experiences to educate her readers, always in the most interesting way.

Next, I would like to pass on this award to a new friend who is a blessing in my life, Michele at Writing the Cyber Highway When Michele visited my blog for the first time, I knew from her kindness and her signature, "smiles" that she was a special person. Writing can be a lonely endeavor - but not with Michele around. She is very supportive and filled with great ideas to get the muse going!

Last but not least, I would like to pass on this award to a new friend who is a blessing in my life, Grandy at Functional Shmunctional Grandy has a grand sense of humor. She always finds the humor in any situation and uses her writing talent to pass on the laughter!

I am thankful for all these wonderful friends. :-)

What Kind of Friend...

You Are a Good Friend Because You're Supportive

You are almost like a life coach for your best friends.

You give them help when they need it... but you also know when to give them a push.

People tend to rely on you for moral support and advice.

You've probably always been mature for your age, so this is a role that's you're comfortable with.

A friend like you is one of the rarest kinds.

You are both a good mentor and companion.

Your friends need you most when: They are confused or worried.

You really can't be friends with: Someone who only wants to complain.

Your friendship quote: "The only way to have a friend is to be one."

I saw this at Michele's Writing the Cyber Highway as part of her "Fun Weekend" posts. Join in the fun!
