I will be dropping by soon. :-) Tina

Thank you, Bev. I just wish mine would grow to be as big and blossom filled as Renie's. I don't think our very rainy weather is helping. :-)Tina Coruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12213204013140850537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6947064511688729424.post-83456118964573635302008-07-17T23:15:00.000-04:002008-07-17T23:15:00.000-04:00That is a very pretty blossom. Perhaps as I'm falling asleep or taking a shower it might click in (or not). Whatever ... I think it's a pretty blossom.

This afternoon I’m trying to visit T-13ers (in what little time I have available) and let folks (like yourself) know I’ve left a bit of bling for them at Sacred Ruminations … so whenever you drop by again, be sure to check here.
Hugs and blessings,storytellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14101550406171982090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6947064511688729424.post-52946122817409110632008-07-17T16:09:00.000-04:002008-07-17T16:09:00.000-04:00Ohhhhh, now I know what that pretty plant is in my...Ohhhhh, now I know what that pretty plant is in my neighbor's back yard! I hope you are having a great week, too! :-)

Jo, I'm sorry your spirea hasn't taken. Thank you for the confirmation. After all these years it's nice to know what it is!
I hope you have a great Thursday, too! :-)

Hi Renie,

I missed Barbara Clark's identification. I guess I need to pay closer attention! It is so nice to know what this plant is called. I didn't know anything about it. It's a good thing that Dave is more observant than I am. Every spring for years I thought it was dead and should be pulled up because there was no foliage on it long after other plants were sprouting their greenery. Dave would say, insist we needed to wait a bit more. Sure enough, it would come to life! Finally, I got it through my head to not to panic. LOL

I'm glad you posted a photo of yours or I might still be wondering what this plant with the pretty flowers is called. I think it is very cool that we have the same plant! :-)

Have a great day!!
Love & Hugs,
Tina

Mary,

Thank you. I can imagine the yellow and white varieties must be very pretty. Your hedge must have been spectacular!

Have a wonderful day. :-)
Hugs,
TinaTina Coruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12213204013140850537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6947064511688729424.post-5441641769439419402008-07-17T06:21:00.000-04:002008-07-17T06:21:00.000-04:00Tina,The Spirea is lovely. I used to have a hedge that was spirea bushes and it was white. Your pink one is very unique and pretty.

Blessings,
MaryMaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08175754179624182953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6947064511688729424.post-90815364362430715712008-07-16T22:41:00.000-04:002008-07-16T22:41:00.000-04:00Hi Tina,Yes, indeed, it is the same shrub and it i...Hi Tina,

Yes, indeed, it is the same shrub and it is called Spirea. Barbara Clark identified it, too. Mine is called Spirea Golden Globe or something like that, for its round shape and yellow/green foliage. But the flowers are the same exact color.

Thank you for looking it up. Neat that we have the same plant.

I'll be back in the morning to check out your sky watch, Tina. Got home late and am beat now. Have a good night, my friend.

Love and Hugs,

RenieRenie Burghardthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02660484248593903002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6947064511688729424.post-88986470808232297632008-07-16T20:55:00.000-04:002008-07-16T20:55:00.000-04:00Yeppers, you have it right...it is a Spirea. I kno...Yeppers, you have it right...it is a Spirea. I know this because my Daughter-in-law gave me one that she had in her yard. It took forever to get over the shock of being yanked out by the roots and replanted. Then between the dog and the late unexpected hard frost that we had last year it just refused to even leaf out again.

But yes it is a Spirea.
Have a wonderful Thursday.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12204654300524316224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6947064511688729424.post-59093078882980742292008-07-16T19:51:00.000-04:002008-07-16T19:51:00.000-04:00Whatever its called, it has pretty little flowers ...Whatever its called, it has pretty little flowers on it!
Hope your having a great week!
